Sox interested in Schneider

Can Sox Catch Schneider?

DS_11.12.jpg

11.13: Correction: On ESPN radio, Gammons did state that the Red Sox seemed resigned to the Boras antics and had made an offer on Schneider, but he never used any names. Youkilis would be in the deal, but obviously Mientkiewicz would be absurd because of Nick Johnson. (Rotoworld had mentioned Minky and Youk as part of Gammons' trade report)

Per Peter Gammons on ESPN radio, the Sox seemed to have moved on from pursuing Jason Varitek because of the Boras demands. They offered Doug Mientkiewicz and Kevin Youkilis for Washington D.C. catcher Schneider. Gammons does not believe there is a substantial market for Varitek and confirmed that the Dodgers are not players for the free agent catcher.
