Pesky Injured by Foul Ball

"Red Sox great Johnny Pesky was injured by a foul ball Saturday when he insisted on sitting in foul territory during a college game at the Red Sox training facility at City of Palms.

"The line drive struck Pesky, 86, in the leg. He was bleeding, but was treated by Red Sox trainers and was resting in the clubhouse.

"'I should have had it,' Pesky said." -- 3.18.06, Nashua Telegraph
