The 102nd Mish-M*A*S*H
Hermanson has setback. Manny on the mend.
- Manny (out since 5.11) due back with team on Friday. Can't grip bat yet.
- Martinez had heavy arm in last side session. Next test, pitches on extra days rest
- Hermanson DL setback. Not back until second half (high groin pull suffered 4.3.02)
- Garciaparra is all the way. No more scheduled days off.
- Varitek making strides, bat to come back too. 5.02: Bob Lobel: "I haven't seen anything close to the Jason Varitek we were used to."
- Ramirez: no hamstring pulls but it would be a push to say he starts in LF all season.
- Burkett on 15 day DL. Gordon Edes "he may be hurting more than he's letting on, may take longer." 4.5.02 Burkett on the mend, rehab start soon.
- Michael Coleman on 15 day DL. Will he get extended stay? Or get cut?

The “Curt’s Pitch for ALS” program is a joint effort by Curt and Shonda Schilling, and The ALS Association Mass Chapter to strike out Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Curt and Shonda will be contributing $25,000 to The ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter, and they are asking fans to contribute as well. All proceeds will benefit research and patient services for those in Massachusetts affected by the disease.
