Jeff Moorad Jerks Around GM Mike Again

UberAgent Says MiamiBeachManny Won't Rejoin the Team in New York as Mike Port  had Promised Us Last Week

IronManny postponed Dr. Morgan's appointment (for the second week in a row) yesterday and will stay in Florida for another week before he sees Dr. Bill in Boston again. Grady expects a "mid-June" return to the lineup saying 'he'll come back when he can start swinging the bat again," a clear hedge from the team's position a week ago. Larry, are you concerned "yet?"

While I'm not really concerned with Manny's summer break this year, it really would be nice to see one of the team leaders, MVP Manny, in that dugout in the Bronx this weekend for a little emotional pick me up, cheerleading aside.

But I am concerned about this roving timeline for his return to the team. Why do I still think it will be July before he plays again? It's like the captain telling you your plane is next in line and 20 minutes from takeoff... you just know you're going to be sitting on that runway for two more hours.

Manny CT Scan OK. Back to Miami Beach for Hand Therapy 'Till Tuesday, his next Boston check-up.

Less than 3 weeks away, he is expected to rejoin team in New York. Alright, I don't mind, but couldn't he and Mrs. R rough it at the Ritz for a couple of days, show up in the Henry seats to watch Pedro, light a little fan fire after the White Sox whitewash? Is that asking too much for $160 million? But I don't mind if he had to rush back to Miami. Really.

The guy tears the cover off the ball, that's all that matters. Just keep repeating that phrase.
